Day-Care Administrator Credentialing Program

The NSHES credential program is directly geared to building administrator skills, knowledge and strategies for childhood education and development. Training's are designed to meet childcare minimum standards and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) guidelines for child development. It can include teaching hopeful child-care administrators new skills, exposing them to unfamiliar ideas, providing the chance to practice and get feedback on particular techniques or styles of working with children, families, colleagues, and staff. It is also the vision of NSHES to facilitate ways in which participants can give and gain feedback for their work by incorporating working groups, such as Professional Learning Communities (PLC) within their organization.

Organization Credential Agreement

Credential certificate is valid for two years from the date of issuance.
Credential holders must request credential renewal at least two months prior to expiration.
The request for renewal should be written and accompany with a copy of your training certificate confirming 45 clock hours of training, (15-management, 20-child development, and 10-childcare of choice) and a copy of the last licensing from DFPS’s visit with no serious negative deficiencies.

Enrollment Requirements- Please Call Prior to the 1st Class Meeting to Begin Registration

21 years old or older (Picture ID or Driver’s License)
High School Diplomas or Equivalent
At least 2 years’ experience in a license child-care center (check stub or income tax W2)
Current CPR & First Aid Card
Clear criminal history check (notarized affidavit or copy of cleared criminal check licensing letter)
One letter of recommendation (reference’s name, address, telephone)
Copies of all requested above items submitted by the 1st class day
Mail or Drop off completed application with a $75 deposit (non-refundable) 3 days prior to the first class date.
